Goal Setting by the Moon: An Example
Any time is a good time to think about, create and set new goals. It helps us to learn, experience life and grow. By setting your own goals, or if you are a caregiver setting goals for another person, give it a try by following the Moon Cycles Chart
What would you like to achieve?
Maybe learn how to cook, or how to paint, or perhaps spending more time outdoors in the garden.
Let’s go with the example: Learn how to Paint...
NEW MOON: Time to ask for support, investigate options, start the ball rolling, and enrol in a painting class - Now the INTENTION has been set
FIRST QUARTER: Buy paints & brushes and practice twice a week – this is taking ACTION. If there are any challenges, like requiring some adaptive tools, now is time to resolve the issue to keep the goal alive
FULL MOON: CELEBRATE how far you’ve come 🙌 REFLECT on what you have learnt and be proud of the achievement so far! Display your painting and find gratitude in the experience. For example: I am so grateful for the way I feel when I paint and its fun!
LAST QUARTER: Any obstacles? Was there a negative feeling come up? For example, feeling that the painting is not to perfection, then it’s time to acknowledge and release the negative thoughts. By LETTING GO and RECALIBRATING it’s time to move forward with a positive mindset. You’ve got this!!
